The shapes and presence of the downtown towers never fail to fascinate me, especially first visiting later working in them and knowing Downtown Toronto very well. As a photographer the angles were always challenging, sharp and rather aggressive as well as magnificent architecture. Painting them presented the same challenge, and I always wanted to soften the angles and bring out more imaginative colour. So with my collage creation that's just what I did, transforming these old and new skyscrapers with watercolour wash and lights and artsy collage.
