Description
You could walk past this pedestrian shopping parade and never notice it (if you have your nose glued to your phone for exmaple). The way it's designed when you see it from across the road on Bloomsbury Way it looks like an Italian street... which in some ways it is. I went to explore it and marvelled at the beautiful architecture... it was like falling into some kind of time warp just by turning a corner. It was designed in 1906 by Robert Worley. Edwardian style, using Italian marble throughout and with all these colonades and turrents with such detail. It has several shops, pavement cafes and restaurants, but I was here on a relatively quiet Sunday morning.
